Spring in Marbella
19 March 2024
Spring in Marbella is, without a doubt, one of the best times to visit. The first flowers are beginning to appear, the sun is with us almost every day, but it is not yet that intense summer heat. The sea and the beach in spring are when they are enjoyed the most.
Just a few days before spring officially begins in Marbella, the longer days are beginning to be noticed. This allows us to enjoy many activities. Below we leave you some options to enjoy this beautiful time.
Activities to enjoy spring in Marbella
There is a long list of activities you can do to enjoy spring in Marbella, but we will leave you our favorites:
- The beach. It is, without a doubt, our favorite. This time of year, when it is neither hot nor cold, nor crowded, is when it is most enjoyable. After a morning on the beach you can improvise a picnic with the family, or eat at one of the many beach bars that Marbella offers.
- Another wonderful place for this time is the Old Town of Marbella. You can take a quiet walk through its narrow streets, and discover its small churches, chapels and craft shops. The flowers are blooming, and the smell of orange blossom invades the place.
- To discover Marbella from another point of view, you can get on a catamaran and observe the city from the Mediterranean Sea. It can be a very fun option to enjoy the good weather, and do something different. You can make this journey from Puerto Banús or the Port of Marbella.
- Although the sea water is still very cold, this time is very good for water sports. Like kite-surfing on the days with the highest waves, or paddle-surfing on days when the sea is calmer.
Getaways from Marbella in spring
Marbella offers many leisure possibilities, but it is also surrounded by other places where you can also enjoy spring. The Port of Estepona at this time is very beautiful and very pleasant. It offers many restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy Andalusian food on a terrace in the sun.
On the other hand, Malaga is a large city, the capital of the province. It is always a good option, whether in spring or any time of the year. But if you are looking for an alternative a little closer, Benahavís is a great option. A town that, without a doubt, will surprise you. Walking through the streets of the town, with the charm of an Andalusian town, and ending up eating in one of its restaurants, is a great plan for a weekend in spring.
Another option is to take a getaway to Gibraltar, where you will have several activities to do in this territory. Don’t miss our article about Gibraltar by clicking here, where you will find all the information you need to enjoy this unique place.
