Marbella

Marbella, to so many, is synonymous with the glamorous Mediterranean, and since the 1950s it has been attracting successive generations of high-end visitors and residents to its famous resort hotels, golf courses, luxury residential areas and trendy events.

The downtown area, much loved for its main Avenida Ricardo Soriano, beachside promenade, marina and delightful historic centre, is actually just a small part of the town. Follow the famous Golden Mile westwards towards Puerto Banús, and you begin to leave the town.

Just inland from here are two of Marbella’s most famous villa suburbs, Nueva Andalucía and Sierra Blanca, while further west the villas of Guadalmina alternate between sea and golf views, close to the small town of San Pedro Alcántara. From west to east, Marbella is famous for its shopping, dining, sports facilities, clinics, international schools and beach clubs.

Marbella East covers a large area where rolling hills are dotted with villas and apartment complexes overlooking golf courses as they meander their way towards the finest beaches on the Costa del Sol. From Río Real and Los Monteros to Santa Clara, El Rosario, Elviria and Las Chapas, beachside and hillside resorts and suburbs alternate between the area’s characteristic pine trees.
